Purposeful Staffing
When staffing new projects, we consider three people-centered factors: Capacity, Competency, and Career Objectives. Each team member needs to have enough capacity to execute successfully. The project team members must have the skills necessary to efficiently deliver and exceed expectations. Most importantly, the project must help our team members develop those skills and acquire new ones that fulfill their career objectives.
Our Recruitment Process
Initial Call &
Pre-Hire Testing
This is a quick call with a recruiter or hiring manager. It’s an opportunity for you to learn more about the role and for us to learn more about your experience and interest in Recombinators. Our Pre-Hire Testing is used to evaluate cognitive aptitude and personality traits.
In-Depth
Interviews
These are one-hour to 90-minute interviews with 1-2 of your potential co-workers. You’ll have opportunities to tell us, in-depth, about the experiences you’ve had and the decisions that have brought you to this point. You’ll also learn about the problems we’re solving and what life is like at Recombinators.
Take-Home
Case Study
The Case Study is your opportunity to show us your approach to solving real-world problems that we tackle. We’ll provide you with a case brief. A week later, you’ll have 30-minutes to present your recommendations and another 30-minutes to field questions from your hiring team
Decision &
Offer
Collecting diverse feedback from Recombinators team members of varying levels of seniority, experiences and perspectives is an important part of how we work. Your hiring team will take the time to meet and come back to you with a decision.
